Phlebotomy Technician program

 This 70-hour program is designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills required to work as a Phlebotomy Technician in conjunction with clinical laboratory personnel across various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and private physician offices.

Through classroom instruction and skills lab training (students do not need to leave the school and attend any other location for the lab portion of the course), students will master the procedures necessary to collect, process, and transport laboratory specimens, including:

• Collecting blood specimens via venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
• Correctly labeling and handling lab specimens.
• Identifying and preventing pre-analytical errors.
• Clinical procedures performed under the supervision of a Physician or Nurse.

The course concludes with a lab practicum. Upon successful completion, students are prepared to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) National Certification Exam. Certification is not required for employment nor required for graduation; however it is highly recommended.  

🕰️Duration:  70 total hours (50 Classroom Theory & 20 Hands-on Lab) 

🗓️ Completion Time: Day Class: 3.5 weeks OR Evening Hybrid: 6 weeks           

📝Format: In-person with extensive hands-on lab practice

📍Lab Location: All lab practicum and skills training is conducted on-site

                                        EVENING & Hybrid: Mon, Tues, Wed, Thur (6:00 PM - 9:00 PM)
